Christian recorded a couple of songs down at Craighall Studios in Edinburgh. Craighall Studios owner Bryce Laing was instrumental in helping the band get its record deal with Decca records. Decca German Recording Artist Christian Anders had already released a record under the name Christian, so the band had to change the spelling of its name to Christyan when it released the single Nursery Lane.
